As we are all busily preparing our Halloween party playlist, you want to make sure that you don’t miss one graveyard smash!  From musicals, to movies and drop dead awesome covers, here are the top 13 songs for your Halloween party.

Monster Mash- Bobby Picket

Would it really be a Halloween party without the original graveyard smash? Bobby “Boris” Picket’s ‘Monster Mash’ was released in 1962 on the LP “The Original Monster Mash” which was comprised of other monster themed tunes. However ‘The Monster Mash’ was a massive crowd pleaser with it topping the charts just a few weeks before Halloween.

Couples costume? How about the ultimate Halloween duet? ‘Epiphany’ from the haunting Sweeny Todd is nothing short of melodically beautiful and slightly terrifying. Even better if you dress as Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovatt!

The cult classic number ‘This is Halloween’ was covered by Halloween enthusiast, Marilyn Manson. Manson put his own twist on by adding in heavy guitar and slightly distorted vocals.

Heads Will Roll- The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

‘Heads Will Roll’ is definitely one track that will be sure to get arms waving, feet tapping and of course, heads rolling.

Cannibal- Kesha

A more upbeat Halloween number is Kesha’s ‘Cannibal’, which features bold lyrics and a great use of dynamics to give the song texture for added atmosphere.

Heathens- 21 Pilots

The 2016 number one featured on popular film ‘The Suicide Squad’, Heathens by 21 Pilots will provide of Halloween vibes at your party!

 Disturbia- Rhianna

‘Disturbia’ by Rhianna was grammy nominated for Best Dance Hit, how can you not feature this on your Halloween playlist?

Somebody’s Watching Me- Rockwell

A feature in most epic Disney Channel Halloween episodes, ‘Somebody’s Watching Me’ will be sure to make you feel both nostalgic and paranoid. This Motown hit features the vocals of Jackson 5 members, Michael and Jermaine Jackson and peaked at number 2 on the Top Charts.

The Time Warp- Rocky Horror Picture Show

This next one is just a jump to left, and a step to the right. Put your hands on your hips and pull your knees in tight

Okay, you really want the dance floor to fill? Play this song! ‘The Time Warp’ is a notorious song featured in the classic 80’sci-fi musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Of course, you have to know every move to be able to properly enjoy the song and it is definitely acceptable to dress as the cast.

There is absolutely no going past Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ when it comes to Halloween. Whether you impressively know the moves, all of Vincent Price’s features or just enjoy a great Michael Jackson song, you know you need to put this one on your Halloween playlist.
